"Crucial Decision," a feature film, dramatizing the American migrant experience, has been released, and is now in stores across the United States.
The movie is made by Ultimate Video Production, a Liberian company in Minnesota.
Though a recent announced release date was cancelled, a subsequent premiere review was attended by many African movie lovers in Minnesota.
“Crucial Decision,” was produced and co-directed by Mr. Seywon S. Weah, (Producer of War of Words), who expressed delight with the reception.
“The migrant experience in the United States,” he said, “is so personal that the premiere attracted huge numbers of Africans and others in Minnesota.”
The movie features Liberian actors Jatu Yallah, Merrill Badio, and Navy Stubberfield. Others are Pewu Jones, Paulin Kwaizah, Patricia Vleyee, Oralyn Weah and Merrill Badio, who also made his feature film directional debut.
"Crucial Decision," is a touching story of Alicia, a 25-year-old female immigrant who traveled from Liberia to the United States, leaving her family; (husband and two kids behind).
If conditions are favorable, Alicia will let her family join her in her new country.
However, Alicia's plan encounters series of unexpected situations that tested her resolve to keep the dream of bringing her family to the United States alive, or otherwise. First there are self-denials, then frustration as a result of the rigid American system, coupled with deceit from friends.
Holding on to her deep-rooted family value system in the wake of testing circumstances she must take, one of many “crucial decisions” that Producer Weah declares is, “one of the messages” of the movie.
Alicia eventually comes face to face with a tempting opportunity that dangles before her, with the potential to upset her family dream, and with that opportunity comes someone with a hidden agenda to destroy what she cherishes.
Alicia must make one of the "Crucial Decisions,” and what follows is a crash of conflicts that put family and friends in an exciting adventure.

The movie reaffirms the societal value with the theme: "What God has put together, let no man put asunder," that will put viewers on their toes with much anticipation.
