JFK Medical Center Receives Life-Saving Equipments from US ‘Hospitals of Hope’

Monrovia, Liberia – Hospitals of Hope, an international medical relief organization, will make its third visit to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in February. While at the medical center, the Hospitals of Hope team will install donated medical equipments, including four x-ray machines, operating room lights, a central suction system, sterilizers, and patient monitors. Hospitals of Hope has donated $1.1 million USD in medical equipments and supplies to the hospital in the last year, in addition to installing the equipments, treating patients, and training medical staff. 

The Hospitals of Hope team will include Michael Wawrzewski, recipient of the 2008 Frist Humanitarian Award and of the 2005 Humanitarian Physician Assistant of the Year Award, and Daniel White, Assistant Director of Hospitals of Hope.  

A hospital of Hope is a Christian medical relief organization based in Wichita, Kansas. Hospitals of Hope aims to improve the healthcare of the underserved, both locally and internationally, through the gathering and distribution of medical supplies and equipments, the establishment and support of low-income clinics and hospitals, and the sending of volunteers to serve abroad.
